The Trapped Wife is a domestic, tension packed popcorn thriller about Jenn who has just found out that she's pregnant. She hasn't had sex with her husband for about three months, her husband who has just been killed in an avalanche during a skiiing trip... the baby isn't his. She doesn't know whose it is. Grieving the loss of her husband and trying to come to terms with her pregnancy, worried about her reputation after an uncharacteristic one night stand - Jenn returns to work as a GP. It is then that a new patient takes an alarming amount of interest in her. This guy was such a manipulative prick! But Jenn did herself no favours. Her level of weakness was almost unbelievable. How you could let anyone walk all over you that way is beyond me. The choices she made were rattling. I got slightly lost with all the different storylines. It was verrrry slow paced yet oddly addictive perhaps due to it being well-written... but I didn't really care for any of the characters at all. by Samantha Hayes
