The story is told from two POVs, Nina and Millie. Millie is hired to work as a housemaid, but she soon discovers that not all is as it should be. I loved how the story started with a bang, wanting you to know exactly what had happened. Freida doesn’t waste a word, and knows how to heighten the suspense. She makes it all seem so effortlessly to produce stories that engage, but I’ve read a lot of psychological thrillers and know how hard it is to keep the interest of the readers. Very well done, although some parts were a bit hard to read, and the ending wasn’t entirely believable.Thank you NetGalley and bookouture for this DARC by Freida McFadden
